In this video, we break down how to use claude design and why claude design by anthropic is more hype than substance. The launch shook the industry, with Figma stock taking a hit and people calling it the end of designers, but claude design anthropic released is essentially Claude Code repackaged.
We tested claude website design generation with a simple prompt for a community site. The output looked impressive on the surface but had real problems, with one version cut off at the pricing section and no footer at all. We then ran the same prompt through Claude Code on Opus 4.7 with high effort, and the result stood on par with what claude ai design produced, without any design harness or special prompting.
The real reason claude design animation and visuals look so polished is the Opus 4.7 model itself, not the tool. The vision upgrade jumped from 1.15 megapixels in Opus 4.6 to 3.75 megapixels in 4.7, which means the model reads reference designs with far more clarity than before.
