Here's 5 steps to fix any bug in Lovable in just 90 seconds.

And they're so easy anyone could follow them…

First, prompt the AI to investigate and fix, not just fix.

This will help the agent do a bit of research first, and give it the best chance of fixing the bug.

Second, open the app preview, recreate the thing that cause the bug, and look in the console in developer tools (just press F12).

Copy that red error back to Lovable and let it fix the actual thing that is breaking.

Third, clear your chat history and try again.

AI coding tools always over-emphasise context from your existing chat so this just gives the AI a clean slate to work from, and a better chance at fixing the bug.

Fourth, undo the changes and try a better prompt.

Prompts are the difference between good AI code and bad AI code, so don't be afraid to scrap your work and start again with a better prompt (read: more specific).

And finally, sync your project to Github, take your code into Cursor, and fix the bug with Cursor or Claude Code.

This takes a bit of time but is often the best way to fix anything nasty or broken as you're building.
