In this video I break down step by step how to add payments to your vibe coded app whether you're using Stripe or any other payments provide.
I walk through where to add payments in your app's user journey, what you'll need to setup and the exact prompts you'll need to add payments using any vibe coding tool.
The prompt:
Let's add Polar/Stripe to my app to accept payments.
I want to charge X per month and I want paid subscriber to have access to ABC features. For free users show an upgrade message on any gated feature.
Create an upgrade popup after the user signs up to ask them to upgrade to a paid subscription.
If they choose free give them access to free features in the app, if they choose to upgrade take them to the Polar/Stripe checkout and then bring them back to the app after completing checkout. Store their subscription status in my database and allow access to gated features by checking their subscription status when they return to the app.
Every time a user logs in to their account, check their subscription status and allow them access to paid features if they have a paid account.
Add a subscription management link in the profile menu in the app, linking to the customer portal on Polar/Stripe for the user to manage their subscription.
